For Motherhood, in all its forms.

This very image has gone viral 6 years after its creation. I would like to share a bit about how it all started.

I created this logo in July 2010 and registered it with the US Copyright Office. At the time, I had two children and was actively pursuing my passion for childbirth by being a birth doula. I have since had two more babies and doulaing has taken a backseat in my life as I raise my four sons. I designed it to be in the shape of an S- like my last name and in the obvious shape of a pregnant woman. I wanted the design to be simplistic and yet powerful. A single line connects the mommy and her baby. This symbolizes the eternal connection between a mother and her child. The two hearts intertwined in the design further show the loving bond between the two.

The design has gone viral and was featured in an article by The Today Show, Huffington Post, Parents, Cosmo, SELF, scarymommy, popsugar, and countless others.

I am thrilled to hear that this design is resonated with other women like it has resonated with me. It was grown to mean so much more: pregnancy, miscarriage, surrogacy, and beyond. I am grateful to show this design to the world.

This is for Motherhood, in all its forms.
